Comptoir Gourmand is a traditional artisan patisserie.
Sebastien Wind, owner and pastry chef started baking and selling a small range of cakes on a little stall at Borough Market in 2005. Sebastien’s idea was simple: to bring the freshest and most authentic cakes every morning to his market stall.
Through hard work and passion, 6 years later, Comptoir Gourmand was born.
At Comptoir Gourmand, taste is essential. All our cakes are handcrafted and baked from scratch using high quality ingredients, such as French butter or French flour. Our cakes are a pleasure to your eyes and an absolute delight to your mouth. We believe in the taste of authenticity.
Today, with the same passion and authentic artisan techniques, Sebastien and our team are pursuing the same simple goal in our open plan kitchen in Bermondsey, London.
We have no secrets and our Café has a direct view into our kitchen. Open 7 days a week, it’s just the best place to enjoy our cakes whilst watching Sebastien and our team demonstrating their skills and expertise.
